Children of Asia International Sports Games were founded in 1996 on the initiative of Mikhail Efimovich. These large-scale competitions have become one of the most significant events in the world history of children's sports. Mikhail Efimovich always attached great importance to physical education of children and youth. He believed that the Games would unite people of the Asian continent and strengthen mutual understanding between the future builders of the new Asia in an atmosphere of peaceful rivalry and friendship.
On behalf of the Children of Asia International Committee and my own behalf, I express my deep condolences to the family, relatives and friends of Mikhail Efimovich.
