This year, the Forum was held on November 1-4 in Tashkent, organized by National Olympic Committee of Republic of Uzbekistan, supported by the IOC Olympic Solidarity Commission.
The Forum brought together heads and representatives of 14 countries’ Olympic Committees - Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Latvia, Lithuania, Moldova, Russia, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Ukraine and Estonia.
The Forum was attended by the Children of Asia Games International Committee delegation headed by the Committee President Mr. Vladimir MAKSIMOV.
Speakers revealed sports and Olympic movement issues of current importance, shared their unique experience, and exchanged views.
Within the forum, leading specialists of Olympic Committees of the CIS, Baltic countries and Georgia held presentations. The agenda included such topics as: No time to die - the experience of Latvian Olympic Committee; Cultural and educational projects of NOC Ukraine; Nomad Games; Cultural and sports festival «Вытокi. Крок да Алiмпу»; Children of Asia International Sports Games.
Mr. Marat BARIEV, Vice-President of the Children of Asia Games International Committee, spoke in detail about the 25-year history of Children of Asia Games, presented the forthcoming 7th Children of Asia International Sports Games 2022 in Vladivostok and the 2nd Winter Children of Asia International Sports Games 2023 in Kemerovo, and he took the opportunity to introduce the information about other projects of the Committee.
As the President of the Children of Asia Games International Committee Mr. Vladimir MAKSIMOV noted, according to the results of the Regional Forum in Tashkent, agreements were reached on participation of a number of sports teams in the Games in Vladivostok. All of them confirmed their participation in the upcoming Games, including Chefs de Mission Seminar to be held on November 11-12 in Vladivostok in a part-time format. During the Seminar, delegates will be visiting the Athletes' Village and facilities of the Games 2022.
It is worth to note that one of the main tasks of the 22nd Regional Forum of the Heads of the NOCs of the CIS, Baltic countries and Georgia is to exchanging information, opinions and experience on the most interesting and relevant projects and programs implemented by National Olympic Committees.
In 2022, the Regional Forum of the Heads of National Olympic Committees of the CIS, Baltic countries and Georgia is to be held in Azerbaijan.
