The 2nd All-Russian Clean Sport Forum started in Suzdal. The event is organized by the RUSADA Russian Anti-Doping Agency with the support of the general partner – the Russian Olympic Committee.
Within the forum, a conference “Anti-doping from the first person” was held, where the President of the Children of Asia International Committee Mr. Vladimir Maksimov presented a policy and vision of the Committee on anti-doping prevention in sports.
“The Children of Asia International Committee is implementing new educational projects aimed at development of young athletes. This year we launched a project called Climbing Olympus. This project aims to educate children on three main topics that all aspiring athletes need to know: Olympic values, sports psychology and anti-doping. Taking this opportunity, I would like to thank RUSADA for the joint work and implementation of this project,” Mr. Vladimir Maksimov said in his speech.
Mr. Vladimir Maksimov also noted that preventing doping should be discussed from the very early steps of a young athlete
“We are convinced that zero tolerance, negative effects of drug intervention and its consequences should be delivered from childhood, and most importantly, this should be done in a simple and accessible language for children. Such projects need to be implemented in children’s sections, and attention should also be paid to coaches in this area, because a coach is always an authority for an athlete,” he said.
Let us remind you that the 2nd All-Russian Clean Sport Forum will be held in Suzdal from September 21 to 22, 2023.
