The Children of Asia International Committee is considering the application of the Republic of Tyva and the Republic of Khakassia to jointly host the 9th Children of Asia International Sports Games in 2028.
The republics have long and rich sports traditions, national sports are developing in the regions. The 9th Children of Asia Games are proposed to be held on the basis of two neighboring cities: Abakan (Republic of Khakassia) and Kyzyl (Republic of Tyva).
“It will be a great honor for us to welcome young athletes, famous coaches and masters in our republic. Our countrymen - representatives of different sports highly appreciate the opportunity to admire athletes’ sport skills and their focus on winning, bright and spectacular competitions,” said Mr. Vladislav Khovalyg, Head of the Republic of Tyva.
Representatives of the Children of Asia International Committee will visit the Republics of Tuva and Khakassia in July and August 2023 to inspect infrastructure, facilities and reception conditions specified in the application book of the regions. Children of Asia International Sports Games require sports, accommodation, catering facilities that meet all standards, as well as convenient transport logistics.
“Holding Children of Asia International Sports Games in the center of Asia, on the territory of the two republics will give impetus not only to the development of sports and the regions, but will also help in strengthening international sports cooperation and establishing friendly contacts among children and youth of Asia. We will make every effort to organize the Games at the highest level. We will be grateful for the trust in holding Children of Asia International Sports Games in 2028 on the territories of the Republics of Khakassia and Tuva, taking into account established traditions and rich organizational experience," said the Head of the Republic of Khakassia Mr. Valentin Konovalov.
Recall that Children of Asia International Sports Games are held every four years. The 8th Children of Asia Games will be held in their birthplace in Yakutia from June 25 to July 7, 2024 in 24 sports.
