On January 22, the torch relay of the 2nd Winter Children of Asia International Sports Games was held in Yakutsk. The length of the distance was 2.1 km. The route ran along Kirova Street to the Elley Bootur Ice Palace. The Olympic freestyle wrestling champion Mr. Pavel Pinigin led the relay. Together with him, the torch was carried along the central streets of the city by well-known sports figures and medalists of the past Children of Asia Games.
The relay ended at the Museum of the Children of Asia International Committee. Committee President Mr. Vladimir Maksimov handed over the capsule with fire to the Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Kemerovo Region - Kuzbass Mr. Sergey Alekseev. In turn, Mr. Sergei Alekseev handed over the torch of the 2nd Winter Children of Asia International Sports Games to the museum of the Children of Asia International Committee.
The fire will arrive in Kuzbass on January 24. It will visit Kemerovo, Mezhdurechensk, Novokuznetsk, Tashtagol region and finish his journey on February 25 at the opening ceremony of the 2nd Winter Children of Asia International Sports Games in the Kuzbass Ice Palace.
