An alumna of the 5th Children of Asia Games, member of the Alumni Council of the Children of Asia Games, Zhamilya Bakbergenova of Kazakhstan, won a silver medal in freestyle wrestling competition at the 19th Asian Games that take place these days in Hangzhou, China.
In 76 kg semi-finals Ms. Bakbergenova met with Kiran of India and won 4:2.
In final, the athlete met with the 2022 Asian Champion Aiperi Medet Kyzy from Kyrgyzstan. The first period ended with a score of 1:0 in favor of the Kazakh, but in the second the opponent took the initiative. The match finished 7:4 in favor of Aiperi Medet Kyzy.
