The General Director of the Children of Asia International Committee Mr. Gavril Tsypandin, checked the readiness of facilities in Novokuznetsk city. The city is famous for its large industrial complexes, jazz and hockey.
The first sports ground visited by Mr. Gavril Tsypandin was the Kuznetsk Metallurgists Arena named after Oleg Korolenko. An object with an area of more than 25 thousand square meters will host competitions in hockey and figure skating. The arena was reconstructed specifically for the Games.
The second object of the detour was the Kuznetsk Ice Palace, where hockey competitions will also be held. This is a modern multifunctional ice arena located in the heart of the city.
Novokuznetsk will meet athletes very soon. Official hockey training will begin on February 23rd and the first match of group A will take place on February 24th.
