On this occasion, we want to tell you about the successes of another Games athlete- Ms. Sofia Nadyrshina. She showed herself well and won the snowboarding competition at the 1st Winter Children of Asia Games in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk.
Already 2 years after the 1st Winter Games, seventeen-year-old Ms. Sofia won the gold medal of the World Snowboard Championship in Rogla, becoming the youngest snowboarder to win the World Championship in parallel disciplines. She previously won silver in the parallel giant slalom.
Ms. Sofia Nadyrshina also became a six-time World Junior Champion (2020, 2021) and a participant in the XXIV Winter Olympic Games 2022 in Beijing.
The athlete says that she started with skiing, but she didn’t like it and she went into snowboarding. At first it was difficult, but curiosity justified itself, and soon she began to win - first at the Children of Asia Games, and then on the world sports arena.
