Climbing Olympus Educational Program was inaugurated within the 2nd Winter Children of Asia International Sports Games in Kuzbass in cooperation with the Russian Olympic Committee. The program involved lecturers from the Children of Asia International Committee, the Russian Olympic Committee, RUSADA - Russian National Anti-Doping Organization, and Association of Sports Psychologists. More than 2000 athletes became participants of the program.
Also the Children of Asia International Committee conducted Climbing Olympus Educational Program in Bishkek (Kyrgyzstan), Bangkok (Kingdom of Thailand), Vladivostok (Russia) and Yakutsk (Russia).
Goals:
Promotion of Olympic principles, introduction to the history of the Children of Asia International Sports Games, promotion of clean sport and strengthening of friendly relations between young athletes.
The program consists of the following modules:
- Olympic Lecture: young athletes learn the history of olympism and Children of Asia International Sports Games in the format of a fascinating lecture, animated cartoon and interactive test.
- Clean Sport: specialists of an anti-doping agency present the culture of zero tolerance to doping, types of anti-doping violations, present real cases from sports life, conduct the Outreach quiz.
- Future Champion: professional sports psychologists conduct trainings and activities to develop attention, reaction and talk about the peculiarities of psychological support during sports competitions.
The program includes meetings with famous athletes, world and Olympic champions, outstanding alumni of the Children of Asia Games.
