Gavril Tsypandin, Director General of the Children of Asia International Committee, held a meeting with Batbaatar Erdenevaanchig, Director of the Center for Sports Medicine and Research of Mongolia.
Gavril Tsypandin greeted the honoured guest and stressed the high importance of Mongolia's team participation in the 8th Children of Asia International Sports Games.
"We are very excited that despite all the difficulties, the Mongolian team is once again taking part in the Children of Asia Games. It should be noted that this team has been competing in the Games since 1996 and has not missed a year of the competition. It is very important for us. We will continue to cooperate and develop youth sports in our countries," Gavril Tsypandin said.
According to Batbaatar Erdenevaanchig, he is no stranger to Yakutia. He received his higher education at the Churapcha State Institute of Physical Culture and Sports.
"During my studies in Yakutia, the Children of Asia International Sports Games have been held here many times and I have always found it very interesting to watch them. For example, in 2008 I was a spectator, and in 2012 I became a volunteer and accompanied the Mongolian team as an interpreter and helped them in any way possible to get settled in. Then In 2016, I came to Yakutia as a representative of the Mongolian delegation, and now I am the head of the whole delegation. I am always very glad to come back here, because I consider Yakutia as my second homeland," Batbaatar Erdenevaanchig said.
As the head of the delegation noted, the first international start of many Olympic medallists and champions from Mongolia was the Children of Asia Games.
"We are very grateful to the Yakuts for such excellent competitions. For us, Children of Asia will always be one of the most important sports events. We will try to bring even more athletes to the next Games," Batbaatar Erdenevaanchig said.
The Mongolian team at the 8th Children of Asia International Sports Games includes 63 athletes in 9 sports.
