On December 9, 2020, a meeting of the Children of Asia Games International Committee’s Board was held.
The Board members elected a new Director General in the form of absentee voting. By unanimous decision Mr. Gavril TSYPANDIN was elected. He previously held the position of Deputy General Director of the Games International Committee.
The Director General was nominated by the President of the Committee – Mr. Vladimir MAKSIMOV, who was unanimously supported by all members of the Board. The Director Geneal is elected for a term of 4 years, his duties include leadership of the executive body of the Committee. In accordance with the Charter of the organization, the Director General is also a member of the Board.
Mr. Gavril TSYPANDIN has been working in the Children of Asia project for over 9 years. In 2011 he was appointed a Head of the Sports Department of the Children of Asia International Sports Games Administration. Further, in 2014 he was appointed a Deputy Head of the Administration. Since 2018, he continued his career at the Children of Asia International Games Committee as the Deputy Director General.
He proved to be a competent and highly qualified specialist who is able to quickly make decisions, has extensive experience in organizing major international sports events.
Earlier the position of the Director General was held by Mr. Vladimir MAKSIMOV, who in September 2020 was elected President of the Children of Asia Games International Committee. His candidacy was proposed by the Head of the Sakha Republic (Yakutia) Mr. Aysen NIKOLAEV and unanimously supported by the founders of the Committee - President of the Russian Olympic Committee Mr. Stanislav POZDNYAKOV and Director of the Asian Games Department of the Olympic Council of Asia Mr. Haider FARMAN.
