During these days, the capital of the Republic of Karelia, Petrozavodsk, is hosting the summer biathlon competition "Anna Bogaliy Cup - Skimir."
Children of Asia International Committee Director General Mr. Gavril Tsypandin, attended the opening of the competition that brought together more than 300 young biathletes.
Ms. Anna Bogaliy is a two-time Olympic champion and has been the Ambassador of Children of Asia International Sports Games since 2018.
Reference: "Anna Bogaliy Cup - Skimir" is the country's first children's competition with an adult approach, as they are modeled after the rules and principles of the World Cup stages in biathlon. The goal of the competition is to promote physical education and sports, develop and popularize biathlon, introduce children and teenagers to the culture of sports events widely accepted in international practice, and identify promising biathletes.
