Highlights of the day
- In the first match of group B, the Ural Federal District team defeated the Siberian Federal District. The meeting ended with a score of 9:1.
- The Far Eastern Federal District won the second victory in the Games hockey tournament. FEFD beat the Republic of Kazakhstan with a score of 7:3.
- Curling competitions have started in the Sosnovy Ice Sports Center.
- Kemerovo took over the torch relay. The first torchbearer was Governor Mr. Sergei Tsivilev.
- Freestyle competitions (ski-cross) were held in the Tashtagol region. Among the girls, the winner was Ms. Maria Bugaevskaya (Kuzbass). Among young men, Mr. Petr Grishchenko (Moscow) took the gold.
- Team of Yakutia on hockey defeated the team of Kuzbass in the first match of the Winter Children of Asia Games with a score of 3:2.
- The skaters had their first official training session.
- The solemn opening ceremony of the 2nd Winter Children of Asia International Games was held in Kuzbass
- At the opening ceremony of the Winter Games Olympic figure skating champion Mr. Evgeni Plushenko, his son Alexander and silver medalist of the Winter Olympic Games in Beijing Ms. Alexandra Trusova performed.
