Today, March 4, marked the opening of the 3rd International Summit of Young Professionals in Sport in Bangkok, Thailand.
The main focus of the 3rd Summit is the development of children’s sport in Asia. The event is being organized by the Children of Asia International Committee in collaboration with the Department of Physical Education under the Ministry of Tourism and Sports of the Kingdom of Thailand.
The Summit brings together young professionals in sport, aged 18 to 35, from 21 countries including Azerbaijan, Bahrain, Belarus, Jordan, Iran, Kazakhstan, Cambodia, Kuwait, Kyrgyzstan, Laos, Mongolia, Oman, Pakistan, Palestine, Russia, Tajikistan, Thailand, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, the Philippines, and Sri Lanka.
Vladimir Maksimov, President of the Children of Asia International Committee, extended a warm welcome to all the participants.
"I am confident that we will have a friendly atmosphere throughout the Summit. I would like to express my gratitude to the leadership of the Department of the Kingdom of Thailand for their cooperation and warm reception. This Summit provides a platform for young professionals to explore the latest trends in children’s sport and establish valuable professional connections that contribute to the further progress and development of sport in Asian countries."
Niwat Limsuknirun, Director General of the Department of Physical Education under the Ministry of Tourism and Sports of the Kingdom of Thailand, also delivered a welcome speech.
"It is a great honor for me to deliver the opening remark at the 3rd International Summit. Welcome to the Land of Smiles! I am thrilled to see each and every one of you. I would like to take this opportunity to express my gratitude to the Children of Asia International Committee for their cooperation and for organizing this Summit."
As a reminder, the 3rd International Summit of Young Professionals in Sport is taking place from March 3 to 7, 2024.
