The Children of Asia International Committee conducted the Climbing Olympus educational program in Astana. The project participants included 50 young students from the specialized boarding school-college of the Olympic Reserve, named after. K.Munaitpasov.
The athletes were greeted by the President of the Children of Asia International Committee Vladimir Maksimov. The opening was also attended by the Director of the specialized school of the Olympic reserve of Astana, Merey Akshalov.
As noted by the President of the Children of Asia International Committee, Vladimir Maksimov, one of the main goals of the Climbing Olympus educational program is to help young athletes become familiar with Olympic values, the rules of fair and clean play, sports psychology, as well as raising worthy citizens of their country.
“Today we present to you one of the projects that we have been implementing since last year - Climbing Olympus. I hope that the knowledge that you gain today will be remembered and will give you the opportunity to take advantage of it in your future sports career or professional activity. I would like to say that all the projects that we are implementing are aimed specifically at raising worthy citizens of their country. Not every athlete becomes a champion, but you always need to remain human. You need to try as much as possible to absorb the knowledge that is given to you because it will all be useful in later life.”
The young athletes were greeted by the Director of the Specialized Olympic Reserve School, Merey Akshalov:
“We work closely with the Children of Asia International Committee, and together with the Alumni Union we implement projects for the development of children’s sports in Asian countries. I am glad that today the students of our specialized boarding school-college of the Olympic Reserve, named after K.Munaitpasov, completed the Climbing Olympus educational program in Astana. It is young athletes who are our Olympic future, and I hope that all the knowledge that will be gained today will remain and be remembered for a lifetime.”
During the Climbing Olympus educational program, three blocks of work took place: Olympic lecture, Clean sport and Future champion.
