At the headquarters of the Russian Olympic Committee in Moscow, the family of Mikhail Nikolaev was presented with the Order of the Children of Asia International Committee. By decision of the Committee’s Board, Mikhail Nikolaev, the founder of the Children of Asia Games and the first President of Yakutia, was posthumously awarded the inaugural Order of the International Committee.
During a solemn ceremony, the award was presented to Mikhail Efimovich’s daughter, Olga Mikhailovna Androsova, and granddaughter, Katerina Germanovna Terekhina.
The Order was handed over by Vladimir Maksimov, President of the Children of Asia International Committee, and Rodion Plitukhin, Vice-President of the Committee and Secretary General of the Russian Olympic Committee.
It is worth noting that the Order of the Children of Asia International Committee was established by a decision of the Committee’s Board. This prestigious award honors individuals who have made exceptional contributions to the development of youth sports on the Asian continent, as well as those who have demonstrated outstanding achievements in advancing the Children of Asia Games.
