During the 19th Asian Games in Hangzhou, the Secretary General of the Children of Asia International Committee Mr. Sherzod Asatullaev held working meetings with the Chairman of the Philippine Sports Commission Mr. Richard Bachmann, Executive Director of the Philippine Sports Commission Mr. Paulo Tatad and Director of Pakistan Sports Board Mr. Muhammad Saeed Akhtar.
The meeting touched upon such topics as participation of the Philippine and Pakistani teams in the 8th Children of Asia Games and prospects for development of educational projects of the Committee. Mr. Sherzod Asatullaev noted that participation of young athletes in the Committee’s projects contributes to an even greater formation of international relations.
“We consider the Committee’s educational projects as one of the opportunities to establish interaction and strengthen ties between representatives of countries. Projects are expanding and acquiring new connections; most recently we held Climbing Olympus Program in Bishkek, the Alumni Union projects in Bishkek and Bangkok. In addition to formation of Olympic values and anti-doping education, our projects are also aimed at acquaintance and mutual respect between young athletes. We were glad to receive feedback from colleagues from the Philippines and Pakistan, they have many interesting ideas, we will continue to work together in this direction,” commented Mr. Sherzod Asatullaev.
