In Kemerovo, in the Kuzbass Ice Palace the closing ceremony of the 2nd Winter Children of Asia International Sports Games took place. All participants, athletes, organizers, volunteers and spectators said goodbye to the holiday of sports and friendship.
Four territories of the Kuzbass land at once were filled with vivid emotions, unforgettable impressions and high sports results. These joyful days of the sports festival flew by in an instant. 57 sets of awards were played in a fair and beautiful fight.
President of the Children of Asia International Committee Mr. Vladimir Maksimov in his speech noted the organization of the Games and wished all participants to achieve their goals and never stop.
- On behalf of the Children of Asia International Committee, thanks to all those who organized this grand celebration. The leadership of the Kemerovo region - Kuzbass, the governor Mr. Sergei Tsivilev, a friendly team of the directorate. I am sure that the Games legacy in the form of experienced staff and excellent sports facilities will continue to serve the benefit of the residents of Kuzbass.
I want to express special gratitude to all those who were involved in the Games: employees of sports facilities, transport services, food and accommodation workers, medical staff, and all those who provided comfort and safety to the participants of the Games.
Let's all thank our main helpers together, those who have been with us every day. Volunteers! You have always been by our side, you charged us with your energy, you supported us and were always ready to help. You are an integral part of our big family. That is why we have established a special badge of the International Committee for those volunteers who took part in three or more Games, as a sign of recognition and respect. Thank you for your sincere help and responsiveness.
We are very glad that our Games have become a part of history in the life of Kuzbass. After all, Children of Asia is not only about sports. These are thousands of people with their own traditions and views on life. You were able to make new friends here, exchange culture and customs with each other. Each of us will take away these memories in our hearts, and will carry friendship throughout our lives.
814 athletes took part in the Games. I want to thank you for believing in yourself. After all, victories and defeats are not easy, it is always a costs of time and hard work. I am sure that the experience of participating in the Games has taught you a lot.
Today you are young, all paths are open before you, and you know the main thing - how to achieve your goal. Never stop on your way - learn, learn new things, develop. Good luck and high achievements!
