For the entire time of the Children of Asia Games more than 17,000 young athletes from all over the Asian continent have become participants. Many of them have achieved and keep achieving prizes of International competitions and Olympic Games. One of the prerequisites for the foundation of the Children of Asia Alumni Union was that many graduates from different countries kept communicating, making friends and contributing to development and promotion of the Games after the end of the regular Games.
Today, the Children of Asia Alumni Union is a whole continent of athletes who create new programs and projects for development of children's sports in Asian countries supporting young athletes and promoting principles of the Olympic Movement and the history of the Games.
The collegial body of the Alumni Union is the Council that consists of the chair, the secretary and 8 members of the Union. Lilia Akhaimova, champion of the 4th Children of Asia Games, Olympic champion in gymnastics was elected the Chair of the Council.
"The idea of uniting graduates of the Children of Asia Games has great prospects, and it is a great honor for me to lead such a large alumni union as the chair. I hope and believe that together we will be able to contribute to a healthy lifestyle and children's sports. In addition, it is very important that the Children of Asia International Sports Games are not only a colorful celebration of sports, but also a great step in establishing international cooperation. I am still at the stage of studying and immersing myself in the work of the Union. I interact a lot and study with people who have already gone a certain way and after completing their sports career work in the field of sports development. We are ready to strive for certain results using our experience and new knowledge," Lilia Akhaimova said.
The Children of Asia Alumni Union has hold many master classes in sports for young athletes in Yakutia, Russia, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan and Thailand. Graduates of the Games hold open meetings with athletes and actively participate in all events of the Children of Asia International Committee to promote the Games.
The Union is also promoting the educational project "Future Champion" aiming that young athletes could learn how to interact with the media correctly, and also be able to communicate with famous athletes.
All athletes who participated in the Games of different years, regardless of nationality, gender and age, can optionally participate in the work of the Children of Asia Alumni Union. For that it is necessary to send a request by email info@cagic.org .
