Mr. Vladimir Maksimov, President of the Children of Asia Games International Committee, met with founder of the Games Mr. Mikhail Nikolaev, the first President of the Sakha Republic (Yakutia).
During the meeting Mr. Vladimir Maksimov reported Mr. Mikhail Nikolaev on activities of the Children of Asia Games International Committee, on preparation to the upcoming Games and outlined further plans. He also thanked Mr. Mikhail Nikolaev for his immense contribution to development of sport and strengthening of relations between countries.
Mr. Vladimir Maksimov noted that it was a great honor to meet with the founder of the Games. «We presented to Mr. Mikhail Nikolaev an up-to-date information about the current process of development of the Games – the project that he established. We consulted with him on the issues connected with promotion and development of the Games. Mr. Mikhail Nikolaev shared new ideas with us that will be considered and implemented in future».
Moreover, Mr. Vladimir Maksimov personally gave Mr. Mikhail Nikolaev an invitation to the 7th Children of Asia International Sports Games, which will be held in Vladivostok (for the first time) from 27 July to 8 August 2022.
Mr. Mikhail Nikolaev thanked for the invitation and expressed his hope that the Games will develop and strengthen its position in the world of international sport in future. He underlined that today the work of the Committee is heading in the right direction «I think that these Games will be held as planned because children’s Games should be out of policy. The Games should unite. We always say that children are the future of our planet. Citizens of Yakutia should be proud that they contribute to the Games».
The 1st Children of Asia International Sports Games were held in Yakutsk in 1996. They were organized to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the modern Olympic movement at the initiative of Mr. Mikhail Nikolaev.
