The Board of Children of Asia Games International Committee has approved the concept of Children of Asia Urban Games.
In September 2022, the application campaign for the right to host the Children of Asia Urban Games will start. The first Games are planned to be held in 2023. According to the concept of the Games, they will be held every two years, and Teams from municipalities of Asian countries and regions of Russia, which territory is located in the Asian continent, can take part.
The compulsory program of the Games includes five sports: 3x3 basketball (boys/girls), breaking, workout, skateboarding and graffiti.
According to the International Committee’s President – Mr. Vladimir Maksimov, the Children of Asia Urban Games will become a new round of development for the entire project. The main goal of Children of Asia Games International Committee is to popularize sports, promote Olympic ideals and develop children's sports in Asia. Today, Children of Asia is an international project that has won respect throughout the Asian continent. In turn, Children of Asia Urban Games will become a new round of development, because by popularizing sports, including street sports, we involve even more children in sports and promote a healthy lifestyle. At the same time, the new project of the Committee will contribute to development of the urban environment and will directly involve the municipalities in development of sports popular with the younger generation.”
