Today, May 7, the Board of the Children of Asia International Committee unanimously decided to make amendments to the Concept of the Games regarding the participation of teams from Russia.
Thus, starting from the 9th Children of Asia Games and the 3rd Children of Asia Winter Games, a united national team of the Russian Federation will take part in them.
At the same time, recognizing the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) of the Russian Federation as the founder of the Children of Asia International Sports Games, Yakutia retains the permanent right to field a separate team to participate in the summer and winter Children of Asia Games.
Let us recall that from 1996 to 2008, individual teams from Russian regions, whose territory is located on the Asian continent, took part in the Children of Asia Games, and from 2012 to 2024, national teams from the Siberian, Ural, Far Eastern federal districts and a number of Russian regions.
Information: The Children of Asia International Sports Games were established and first held in Yakutia in 1996 on the initiative of the first President of Yakutia, Mikhail Nikolaev.
