As part of the business program of the International Economic Forum “Russia - Islamic World: KAZANFORUM” 2024, President of the Children of Asia International Committee Vladimir Maksimov took part in the round table of the Ministry of Sports of Russia “Sports and Spiritual and Moral Education”.

Participants discussed the potential of sport as a means of strengthening interethnic and interreligious harmony. As well as its important educational function, aimed at preserving and disseminating the values of the world's main religions.

The moderator was Irek Zinnurov, Head of the Representative Office of Rossotrudnichestvo in the Republic of Azerbaijan - Russian Information and Culture Center in Baku.

As Vladimir Maksimov emphasized, one of the main objectives of the Children of Asia Games is to cultivate respect for competitors, religion, representatives of other cultures, and instill interest in the unique history of each nation, its customs and cultures.

“In the Children of Asia Games, first of all, they meet peers from different cities and countries, learn to be friends in conditions of equal and fair competition, and lay the foundations for a respectful attitude towards each other, as well as towards representatives of other languages. When preparing and organizing the Games, the organizers take into account the characteristics of different cultures, create space without infringing on the needs of religious participants, and arrange prayer rooms. Over the entire period of the Games, a huge number of children and teenagers belonging to the multi-religious community of Asia have witnessed the unifying power of sport,” said Vladimir Maksimov, President of the Children of Asia International Committee.

Currently, the Children of Asia International Committee, in collaboration with colleagues from different countries, is developing joint educational projects in the field of development of children’s and youth sports. International sports communities express interest and support for projects aimed at the diversified development of young athletes.
