Vladimir Maksimov, President of the Children of Asia International Committee, held a meeting with Roscosmos cosmonaut Oleg Artemyev. The discussion focused on the upbringing of the younger generation and the importance of cultural exchange between different countries.
Oleg Artemyev presented a copy of the Kyndykan doll, which had been in space this year, to the Children of Asia Games Museum. The doll was featured as one of the symbols in the greeting from cosmonauts to the participants of the 8th Games from the International Space Station.
In turn, Vladimir Maksimov expressed his gratitude to Roscosmos for their collaboration with the organizing committees of the Children of Asia Games. Roscosmos cosmonauts have traditionally sent greetings to the participants of the Games. Previous greetings from the International Space Station were sent to the Games held in Vladivostok, Kuzbass, and this summer in Yakutsk.
The meeting was also attended by the Director General of the Children of Asia International Committee, Gavril Tsypandin, Director of the Eurasian Center for Family Institute Support Marina Volkova, and the founder of the social startup "Kyndykan" Ilaan Kyndykan.
Note: Kyndykan is the name of a little girl found in a northern ancestral settlement 200 years ago, which had been entirely wiped out by smallpox. Her story has grown into a multi-stage social project aimed at uniting and preserving the culture and traditions of the peoples of the North and the Arctic.
