President of the Children of Asia International Committee Vladimir Maksimov held a meeting with Director General of the Department of Physical Education of the Ministry of Tourism and Sports of the Kingdom of Thailand Niwat Limsuknirun, who arrived in Yakutsk today, June 25.
Vladimir Maksimov welcomed the guest of honor, noting the high role of participation of the national team of the Kingdom of Thailand in the 8th Children of Asia Games.
"Just a couple of months ago, we held the 3rd Summit of Young Professionals in Sports in Thailand. And now we are very happy to meet our colleagues in Yakutia already. I am glad that, despite the distance, the national team of the Kingdom of Thailand has arrived in Yakutsk. Thanks to your work, the children of Thailand always take part in the Children of Asia Games. I am sure that young athletes will demonstrate a good level of preparation," emphasized the President of the Children of Asia International Committee.
Niwat Limsuknirun expressed his gratitude for the hospitality and noted the high organizational level of the Games preparation. According to his words, this is the third visit to the capital of the republic. Earlier he visited the Children of Asia Games in 2008 and 2012.
"I am very glad that the Games have returned to their historical homeland and that I had the opportunity to visit this wonderful city again. Yakut people are very hospitable and always treat their guests well. Even in sports, when children compete, they are very friendly to other young athletes," said Niwat Limsuknirun.
According to the Director General of the Department of Physical Education of the Ministry of Tourism and Sports of the Kingdom of Thailand, during his working trip to Yakutsk he intends to discuss not only the prospects for the development of sports, but also tourism.
Summarizing the results of the meeting, Vladimir Maksimov presented the guests with memorable souvenirs from Yakutia.
