The 2nd Winter Children of Asia Games were held from February 23 to March 5, 2023 in Kuzbass. 814 athletes from 12 countries took part in competitions: Armenia, Afghanistan, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kuwait, Kyrgyzstan, Lebanon, Russia, Tajikistan, Thailand, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan.

A total of 57 sets of awards were awarded in 10 sports.
Interesting facts:

- For the first time in the history of the Games, competitions were held simultaneously in four cities of Kuzbass: Kemerovo, Novokuznetsk, Mezhdurechensk and Tashtagolsky district.

- The world record for the most massive skating lesson was set in preparation for the 2nd Winter Children of Asia Games.
At the Kuzbass Ice Palace in Kemerovo, 585 sports school students set a record for the most massive skating lesson in the world. Kuzbass residents exceeded the previous result of 523 participants, which was set on January 18, 2014 at the Medeo skating rink in Kazakhstan. The event was dedicated to 100 days before the start of the 2nd Winter Children of Asia Games, the countdown started on November 16.

- The mascot of the Games was a lynx named Tikhonya. The prototype was lynx Tikhon that lives in the museum-reserve of Kuzbass "Tomsk Pisanitsa".

- The official logo of the Games is made in the form of a hieroglyph as a sign of respect for the writing of Asian peoples, also resembling an athlete symbolizing the power of movement.

- During the opening ceremony, the flame of the 2nd Winter Games was carried by two–time Olympic figure skating champion Evgeny Plushenko, bronze medalist of the 1984 Olympic Games in speed skating Natalia Shive and three-time Olympic champion in Greco-Roman wrestling Alexander Karelin. The fire was lit by the silver medalist of the Siberian Federal District championship in all-around Victoria Fedorova and three-time Olympic champion Elena Vyalbe in cross-country skiing.

- The flag bearers were titled alumni of the Children of Asia Games of different years – Mark Asmus – winner of the Russian Athletics Championship, Ksenia Sinitsyna – champion of Youth Olympic Games 2020 in figure skating, Ariadna Panchuk - silver medalist of the All–Russian shooting competitions, Merey Akshalov - World and Asian boxing champion, Anton Chupkov - bronze medalist of the 2016 Olympic Games in swimming, Lilia Akhaimova - Olympic champion of Tokyo 2020 in gymnastics.
